SSE Emergency NumbersScottish and Southern Electric are one of the most popular power suppliers in the United Kingdom, but sometimes faults happen, and you need to be able to report the fault and find out when normal service will be resumed. There is a number that you can call for the National Power Cut Helpline - 1901. This number can be contacted 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. There are other regions specific SSE contact numbers that you can use to report emergencies in your area.
If you are in the Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and North Shropshire area then the contact number you need is 0800 001 5400.
If you are in the East England region, then you need to contact 0800 783 8838.
For the East Midlands region, the SSE emergency contact number is 0800 056 8090.
If you are in the London area, the contact number you need to use is 0800 028 0247.
For SSE customers in the Midlands area, you need to contact 0800 328 1111.

SSE ComplaintsThere may be times when you need to make a complaint. You have an issue with your service that you are deeply unhappy with, or perhaps there is a major discrepancy in your bill. There is complaints procedure for SSE customers. First, you can phone the helpline on 0345 071 9710. This line is open from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday, and from 8 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. The customer service representative will try to resolve your complaint, but in some cases, it can become necessary for the complaint to be dealt with by the Manager, or a specialist team that deals specifically with your type of complaint. If your complaint can not be dealt with while you are on the phone, then the Scottish and Southern Energy company try to have a satisfactory solution by 8 pm the following working day.
There is a second helpline number that you can call. This is a customer complaints line and you can reach them on 0345 071 7800.
If you aren’t satisfied with the resolution, or if a solution hasn’t been offered by 8pm the following working day, then you can escalate your complaint to the head of the customer service team. The head of the customer service team can begin an independent internal review and aim to have a solution for you within five working days. If the head of the customer service hasn’t resolved your complaint to your satisfaction, then you can take your complaint to the Energy Ombudsman Service. You will need to wait six weeks from the date that you made your initial complaint, and they will ask if you have followed the SSE complaints procedure before contacting them. If you haven’t followed the complaints procedure then they will advise you to do so. If, however, you have made the initial complaint and complained to the head of the customer service team, then you can contact the Energy Ombudsman Service on 0330 440 1624.
